ABOUT THE ARTIST

A Kingston, Ontario resident and fixture on the local art scene since 2005, Linda Chamberlain was born and raised in a small town, in south western Ontario, on the inner bay of Lake Erie.
She attributes her creativeness and her love of painting to her upbringing, her mom and dad were always creating something new.
Studying art at Valley Heights, in Langton, Ontario, one of Linda's early influences and teachers was Ross Bateman, a well-respected artist in his own right and brother of renowned Canadian artist, Robert Bateman.
Her passion for nature and the unspoiled beauty of northern Ontario continued after relocating to the serene, tranquil surroundings of Iron Bridge, on the northern shores of Lake Huron.
Linda's nature oriented art is reflective of real places that she has visited. Her passion for her vision in her art is evident in the excrutiating detail she brings to and pursues with each new canvas.
As well as continuing to paint nature in all its abundant glory, Linda has also found inspiration daily in Kingston, recreating the beauty in The Kingston Waterfront, the 1000 Islands and historic buildings such as Kingston City Hall, The Hochelaga Inn, and Fort Henry.
